Saito’s aim is to create spaces that influence the inhabitants’ lifestyle. He has designed many Japanese-style houses though not according to the established rules. This sumptuous book pre­sents many photographs, initial sketches, and a description of Saito’s conceptual ideas, and is completed by a list of selected drawings and a biography.
