Novum covers the work of designers, illustrators, photographers, studios and schools
Novum is well illustrated and with good reproductions the magazine covers the European scene in all its styles – from the traditional to the trendy. Consequently arranged. A subscription provides a useful portfolio on all aspects of European graphic design.
Founded 1924 in Berlin under the name Gebrauchsgraphik, Novum is Germany's oldest graphics magazine. The last redesign was undertaken 14 years ago. Our task was to update Novum's editorial design. Among others improvements, we created a clear distinction between regular editorial content and special features in the "Novum +" and "Showroom" chapters. New fonts by British type label Fontsmith were introduced in addition to a new uncoated paper, which offers more tactile charms.
