a cura di Hans Ibelings - Kirsten Hannema

Taking the ‘crisis’ of 2009 as its point of departure, this yearbook chooses to both reflect on what has happened within the practice of architecture and what the consequences for the profession will be looking forward. Introduced by essays from Hans Ibelings, Kirsten Hannema and Vesna Vu?ini?, the initial part of the review focuses on four high-profile projects that have recently been completed – the Porsche Museum, Stuttgart by Delugan & Meissl, Santiago Calatrava’s Liège Railway Station; the architecture school in Nantes by Lacaton & Vassal and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Zagreb, by Igor Franic. This is followed by a generous survey of an additional 20 projects that highlight the best of new European architecture, ranging from museum extensions and hotels to residential and office buildings. All buildings and projects are documented from inside and out through full-colour photographs, introduced by a short text and accompanied by technical drawings.
