GRADUATION PROJECTS. Amsterdam Academy of Architecture
According to director Aart Oxenaar, “only by continually conducting research, by critically examining what is presented as truth or reality, can the artist or designer make sensible pronouncements about how we should deal with reality.” This generation of students seems to naturally engage the reality of the everyday, and their designs can be taken as starting points for sensible interventions. The work of 25 graduates in architecture, urbanism and landscape architecture is presented in this volume, covering a wide variety of projects and solutions. A foreword by Oxenaar and text by visiting critic Rob Hootsmans lend insight to the students’ hard work and perspectives.
