Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem e Ramon Vilalta, fondatori dello studio spagnolo RCR Arquitectes. I tre architetti, originari di Olot (Catalunya) dove tutt’ora ha sede lo studio, collaborano da quasi 30 anni, dal 1998, anno di fondazione di RCR Arquitectes. Il loro lavoro dimostra un impegno senza compromessi verso il luogo e la sua narrativa, per creare spazi che comunicano con i loro contesti. Armonizzando materialità e trasparenza, Aranda, Pigem e Vilalta cercano connessioni tra esterno e interno che creano come risultato un’architettura esperienziale ed emozionale.

Based in Catalonia and the 2017 Pritzker Architecture Prize laureates, Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem, and Ramón Vilalta (> Biography) have developed a radical type of architecture that is both stylistically and physically grounded in its local context as well as committed to nature. Key themes in the work of RCR Arquitectes include connections between indoor and outdoor spaces, the passing of time, structure and materiality, and the dematerialisation of spaces.
