The catalogue of the “8th Spanish Architecture Biennial” reproduces in its structure, the modus operandi of the Biennial: its selection criteria, the sessions of the selection committee, the different prizes, the finalists, and therefore can be considered as a credible source for the valorisation of Spanish architects presenting projects. It is also a valuable source of information about the general situation of Spanish architecture, the types of projects submitted, and their geographical situation. If we should resume conclusions shortly, it would be by the following concepts: quality, variety – even antagonist viewpoints – innovation, internationalisation, orientation towards the user. Spanish architecture is in good shape. The “Manuel de la Dehesa” Prize went to the Scottish parliament by EMBT with a mention for the Esplanade for the Forum 2004, Barcelona by J.A. Martinez Lapena and Elias Torres Tur. The “Enric Miralles” Prize went to the New Lasesarre Football Stadium by Eduardo Arroyo.
