The book allows you to get to know a work by Scarpa that has remained shrouded in mystery until now and to deal with a thorny and current theme, that of the restoration of the most significant works of contemporary architecture. Scarpa restored the house between 1964 and 1968, for Loredana Balboni, collector and art market, widow of Francesco Pasinetti, director of the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome and sister of Letizia, wife of Michelangelo Antonioni, who made it a meeting place for writers, artists and directors, and a treasure trove of works of art. The architect equipped an extraordinary luminous telescope for the rooms and works of art that connects the front on the garden of the house to that on the Grand Canal. He used stone materials modeled with extreme care and wall coverings made using traditional techniques and the most gifted Venetian craftsmen. After the death of Loredana Balboni, in 2008, the house became part of the availability of a new owner, who promoted the necessary restoration, with the aim of completing it in the most accurate way. The work carried out allowed us to know every single aspect of the building, to highlight all the solutions used by Scarpa, to restore the spaces to their admirable brightness and transparency. The emblematic history of Casa Balboni is highlighted by Roberta Martinis on the basis of careful archival research, which led to the publication of many unknown drawings, while Francesco Magnani and Trudy Pelzel explained, using extensive photographic documentation, how they intervened to restore it.

Il diritto di recesso dovrà essere esercitato mediante invio di lettera raccomandata A.R. a: LIMOND S.a.s. – via Arnolfo di Cambio 24/A – 37138 Verona (VR) – entro il termine di 10 (dieci) giorni lavorativi dal ricevimento dei volumi.
Tutti i resi dovranno essere autorizzati da Limond S.a.s (tel. +393472455641) con l’assegnazione di un numero di autorizzazione alla resa. Le spese di spedizione saranno interamente a carico del cliente e non si accetteranno pacchi in contrassegno.
Al ricevimento dei volumi, e verificata la loro integrità, Limond S.a.s. provvederà, entro 10 (dieci) giorni, ad accreditare il cliente del valore dei volumi restituiti.
La tempestività nell’evasione dell’ordine è determinata dalla disponibilità della merce ordinata. In caso di immediata disponibilità l’ordine verrà evaso entro 2 giorni lavorativi. Qualora uno o più libri non dovessero essere presenti a magazzino possono essere ordinati su richiesta; il nostro staff informerà il cliente, via mail, circa i tempi necessari per l’evasione dell’ordine.
